A move is under way in Washington state to force abortions on hospitals, even if they are affiliated with a religious group that opposes it.
Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson has ruled that if a hospital takes public funds and brings babies into this world, they are required to do abortions and provide contraception. That’s irrespective of whether it’s private, public or religious affiliated.
Joseph Backholm, who heads the Family Policy Institute of Washington, said the AG’s ruling marks “kind of another step” in the leftward direction for the state.“
…Because they perceive abortion to be a fundamental right that means the public has the obligation to pay for it, and make sure that it happens in furtherance of their abortion objectives,” he tells OneNewsNow.
